I need to leave this state before it declares itself a sovereign nation and banishes all rational thinkers as heretics.

Yeah, our legislation is pretty fucked up when it comes to religious issues. Someone needs to go in there and just start slapping the shit out of those people. Hopefully it'll change in the future, but it probably won't, and I'm pretty glad I'm no longer in the public school system here, and that my children most likely will not be either.

P.S. - LOL @ California geography skills. Texas is in the south/southwest, not the midwest.  ???

That's okay, some people at CNN think there are parts of Texas east of the Louisiana border.

Texas would be great if it wasn't for all the Texans in it.

I've pretty much given up on educating idiots because if they don't even understand any science or even what the concepts of stuff like evolution are... then there's no hope of fixing their mind in an hour or two of talking to them.

Science comes pretty natural to someone who grows up watching David Attenborough type nature shows and stuff about geology, astronomy, etc. But people who've only watched sitcoms about humans their entire lives and go to church every week... they stand no chance understanding that the entire universe isn't about humans.

I actually walked into a university class where the professor was like "Lights aren't just waves or just particles, we might as well call them something else... an existent. There are different kinds of existents. Like matter is one kind of existent and angels are spiritual existents."

I dropped that class faster than a new squid on a 650 bike.
