The HYSOSUNG GT250R Can it freeway for long periods of time?

I've been driving my hyosung 250r for about 8 months now without any problems so far. I was wondering can a 250 handle being on the freeway for around 6-8 hour drives? I'm looking to start traveling in the upcoming spring and was wondering if being in the 8k-9k range for long periods of time would hurt the 250?

Pretty similar to the ninja 250r. Search the internet for touring experience on that. You gotta remember, that bike may be working twice as hard to go that distance as a larger bike. 100 high speed miles is like 200 miles at the same speed on a more able motorcycle. That being said, i rode my bike at 75mph for 4 hours every other week. Only one break for gas and food. It's a simple 4 cylinder air cooled engine that i ran at 6-7k on the highway. Red lines at 9k. Never had a problem with it. Try to take a slower route before you jump right to the interstate. Easier on you and the bike. 6-8 hours straight is freaking tough though. Start smaller and you may postpone those trips for a while.

I know it's a link to another forum but reading through everyone's post is a learning experience, there's also a way to do it yourself. Although the basic response was simply to ride it and don't be afraid that the miles will hit a certain number and because you've been doing one thing or another that your bike will just explode, or implode, whichever is more fun for you to think about.
Also note that it says "url" is off, I assume it's because they don't want me botting, so simply copy paste the link, it goes to the Kawasaki Forums where someone compared the engine travel of a 250 to the engine travel of a civic...si?...and the subsequent wear or possibility of wear on the bike.

If you have been riding the bike without any real mechanical issues for a while now, i don't see why taking it on a longer road trip would create any more wear and tear than normal riding.
Sustaining high revs is something a motorcycle should be capable of doing anyways without damaging the engine.

4strokes are perfectly fine running sustained rpm for long periods of time. It shouldn't do anything unusual to the engine.

2strokes, however, will seize quickly at a sustained highway speed/rpm.

Think the real question is whether you can take it for a long period of time haha.
And ofcourse handling being overtaken by bigger bikes

Hey thanks for the info guys. I personally recommend hyosung bikes, They're great and cheap. but I'll be moving on to an R6 soon.
