CBT

CBT

Postby AlK » Sat Feb 12, 2011 2:52 pm

Hey,

i passed my CBT today. I would strongly recommend all of the riders in the north east of england and the south east of scotland to go to eyemouth training school. Terry Smith the instructor is the man to meet he helped me with all my questions and offered help in the future when i get a bigger bike etc. He provdides all equipment needed and i would strongly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a CBT.

Cheers, Alex

Thanks :) erm im planning too but i think you have to hold a cbt for 2 years before you can sit the full thing. Im not bothered either way lol would like a couple months to get my wages built up before i fork out another hundred lol almost bought a bigger bike for when im 21 lol my mates selling a honda nv400 was thinking of putting it in the garage for the time being but its abit of a waste tbh :P cant wait to get on the road :)

You don't need to hold a CBT for 2 years.

You can take your full test whenever. Once you pass your theory, depending on your age you take the full test and
if you are under 21 you are restricted to 33bhp for 2 years, or if you are over 21 you can ride whatever.

AFAIK, taking the full test when you are under 21 you are allowed to use a small bike, but for the DAS you use a 500cc.

no you dont need a 125, all you need to ride any bike is

1. CBT
2. Theory Test Pass
3. DAS - Mod 1
4. DAS - Mod 2

theory is nice and easy about £30 quid i think at your local test centre

the das is a split test, mod1 is like an assault course in the test centres purpose built carpark. The mod2 is an on the road test just like the cars and you get asked 3 questions at the start with an eye test.

if you pass all these and are over 21 you can now ride ANY bike but if you pass these are under 21 you can still ride any bike but it has to be restricted to 33 BHP

If over 21 and if you use a 125cc, you are restricted to under 33bhp for two years (Im suprised why anyone over 21 would do this though)
