Those graphics look like the best I've ever seen. Better than Crysis even.

I am actually kind of liking the sniping in BFBC2, they did a really good job, no wind on the consoles though but for half the idiots on consoles that was probably a smart decision

I've never seen the appeal of snipers in my entire life, this is probably the biggest miss for me that I've ever witnessed.

I just like the focus and patience right up to taking the shot it takes, and not getting too greedy and staying in the same place for too long...

Yea Sniping in BC2 on PS3 is too easy... too bad my PC has shit for ability for handling games with decent graphics. Crysis 2 on PS3 is as close as I'll get to that.
I'm in El Salvador till July 20th so dont delete my account.

On PC BC2 has wind? How do you know how to adjust for it?

easy m13, aim high and into the wind then BAM HS, BUUUT if your a medic its a guaranteed head shot from any distance anyway, so if you want to snipe, be a medic.

I love a good sniper game because running-and-gunning doesn't do much for me.

If it's just running around the corner and both people pull the trigger, often it's just based on stuff like latency or dumb luck.

I prefer the very original ghost recon games. If there are many bushes and trees and rocks and a sniper could be peeking out from any of em, then it's all about position, hiding ability, ability to scan well and guess where someone's hiding, etc.

If someone started firing blindly into bushes, other snipers would right away know their location and kill them.

Stealth is so much better than spamming grenades and holding down the trigger on a machine gun.

Nothing is more satisfying than having a sniper hiding in a ditch in the corner thinking he's absolutely safe and me slowly crawling around him and behind him while he zooms in. The traditional finish is to start air-humping right behind him while he's zoomed in and then switch to a pistol and headshot him while your entire dead team laughs their arses off watching through your eyes.

A bit OT, but is Splinter Cell: Conviction multiplayer as fun as Chaos Theory? That's on my list of like the Top 3 games of all time.

the problem with large map shooters on the PC is that people can turn down the draw distance for stuff like bushes on their computer making them absolute shit soft cover, I think mordeth made a video of this (they also turn up the contrast till it looks more cartoony than realistic)

yeah but they are on the same level as cheaters, which you are always gonna get.

if you play with a decent bunch of people its great.

by "which you are always gonna get" do you mean you are going to report them and them be banned from the servers or anything like that? because they technically are not cheating, they are just changing the graphic settings, its like when the makers of call of duty said if you did the care package glitch you would get banned, it was an empty threat because it was something they put in the game and they cant tell you not to click that series of buttons, no one ended up getting banned

no i mean there are always people who want to play unfairly, which equates to cheating, or giving them an unfair advantage over other players. whatever you want to call it it's basically the same.

no people may not be able to prove it, but im sure they will be able to tell, likewise someone who cheats is going to be noticed.

I'm saying if you play with a bunch of people you expect/trust/hope that they are like you and want to have fun playing the game, rather than cheating.
