the best way to fix this country is to ignore all the politics, unless if affects you directly there is really no point in worrying about it

say your city is doing a meeting on fixing the roads, or opening a new school or something, go pay attention to that. big government will never solve any problems, its the town government that deals with what you will actually notice (most of the time anyways)

it amazes me how much people get worked up over something they will most likely not even notice the affects of

Yep.  So many people go out and vote for president, but won't bother to vote at local elections or go to city council meetings, even though they're most strongly effected by local government.

Political parties don't matter either, because all they do is spit out lines that make them seem vehemently opposed to the other party, so that they can be elected.  After that is done, it's all about maintaining the status quo.
