Took my GsxR 600 out today and I came to hill with a stop sign. Had to give it some throttle to keep it from rolling back and when I had a chance to go I went. Not sure what I didn't do correctly, but the bike stalled out and it fell over.... I was in 2nd gear and thought with being right in the friction zone and giving it a bit of throttle that I would of been good. Apparently not. Didn't do much damage, but scuffed the paint a little, luckily.

I generally use the back brake in those situations.

Being in first would help too...especially on a hill. I too use the back brake.
